About Us

Our Story

We are sisters that fell in love with the same line of work. We are both national certified and state licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs, aka Speech therapists). Together we are a dynamic duo that provide speech and language services to all ages. We both obtained our Masters from Western Carolina University.

Our Mission

To provide quality speech-language pathology services to the people of Western North Carolina in order to help our clients prosper within their daily lives and community activities.

Meet Amanda

Adult Speech Therapy SLP

Amanda graduated from Western Carolina University in 2012 with her Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. While attending college at WCU, she worked as a nursing assistant where her passion of working with the elderly began. Since graduating, she has dedicated her career to working with the adult population, specifically with those experiencing swallowing difficulty. When she’s not in the office, Amanda enjoys cooking (and eating), reading, spending time with her husband and three dogs, and volunteering at a local animal rescue.

Meet Alisha

Pediatric Speech Therapy SLP

Alisha graduated in May of 2015 from Western Carolina University with her Masters degree in Communication Science and Disorders. After graduation, she began her career as an SLP working with adults in a nursing home until March of 2016 when she transitioned to working with children.

Children are her passion. She loves spending her day helping children and their families/caregivers be able to communicate more effectively and improving skills that will aid the child’s future skills in education and general life. She has worked with children in a variety of settings (daycare, clinic, home, and in the community).

Outside of work, she enjoys being a mother to a wonderful daughter who was born in the Spring of 2015. She also enjoys playing board/card games, playing BINGO, hanging out with family/friends, crafting/painting, as well as going to arts and craft events.

As a mom, she understands it takes a village to raise a child and would love to be a part of your village.
